Meet the team

Lawrence, originally from New Zealand and of Māori heritage, has been living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, for over 19 years. Growing up immersed in both the commercial fishing and farming industries, he developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and ways of life. While earning his commerce degree at the University of Otago, Lawrence played rugby at the university level, which further enriched his understanding of teamwork, leadership, and the global sports culture.  
 

After graduating, Lawrence embarked on a journey that took him across Asia, the United Kingdom, and Australia, broadening his perspectives on different cultures. In 2002, he moved to Canada and took on the role of District Sales Manager for a large tour operator in Alberta. This role provided the perfect foundation for Lawrence to transition into entrepreneurship and develop his own group travel business.

For the past 10 years, Lawrence has been the owner and manager of Leader Tours Inc., where he has combined his passion for travel and his diverse cultural experiences to create unique and memorable tours for clients.
 

Lawrence has traveled extensively, including to Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Mexico, Hawaii, the United States, Argentina, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scotland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria, Canada, as well as on a Disney Cruise (U.S. & Mexico) and a European River Cruise. His global experiences, combined with his unique background, bring a rich, multicultural perspective to every tour he organizes.

Kristy brings a dynamic mix of passion and expertise to her role at Leader Tours, where she leads sales, marketing, and social media efforts. With a business degree from the University of Mount Royal, she has a strong foundation in business strategy, but her true connection to agriculture runs even deeper. Growing up and working on her family farm in Saskatchewan, Kristy developed a lifelong appreciation for the land and the agricultural industry, which now informs her approach to curating meaningful travel experiences that celebrate farming and rural life.
 

Kristy also worked on a horse ranch in the breathtaking Canadian Rockies, gaining hands-on experience that complements her role in promoting agricultural tours. Additionally, her international travels and time living in Mexico, the United States, and the Middle East have given her a global perspective and a deep understanding of diverse cultures, which she leverages in her marketing and social media campaigns.
 

Known as the company’s "hype girl," Kristy is all about generating excitement and buzz around Leader Tours’ unique offerings. Whether she’s promoting farm-to-table experiences or building anticipation for an upcoming Ag tour, Kristy’s enthusiasm ensures that every trip Leader Tours offers feels like a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
